A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

William Kaegebein Elementary 8-hr shift between 2:30 PM and 12:00 AM - 12-month
Salary:
$25.38/hr per
SRP Contract Duties:
Perform various cleaning and upkeep tasks including mopping floors, washing walls, ceilings and windows, dusting woodwork and furniture, stripping and waxing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, collecting and disposing rubbish. Perform recurrent and routine semi-skilled maintenance and repair work such as fixing or replacing broken shelving, hinges, locks, window panes and sash cords; unclog toilets, traps and sinks; replace faucet washers, fuses, light bulbs, and ballasts; paint furniture, walls, fixtures, etc. Provide basic building security services. Maintain grounds by cutting grass, trimming shrubbery, raking leaves, and shoveling snow. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or possession of a
High School Equivalency Diploma Qualifications Desired:
Positive evaluations. Proven ability to interact with faculty/staff, students and parents.
