What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Pay:
$16.00-$16.50 per hour (depending on related experience)
Nature of Work:
Responsible for the daily cleaning of agency building and occasional deep cleaning/ special projects required to maintain buildings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven working experience as a cleaner preferred. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery, such as floor strippers and carpet machines. Ability to commute to Corning. Ability to work well independently. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (Hazardous Communication standards) Basic reading and writing ability for communication purposes and cleaning product use Ability to work evening shifts Monday - Friday Pathways, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and strives to employ individuals that are reflective of the communities that we serve.
