Job Summary:

Keep Ayrloom's facility spotless, safe, and inspection-ready. The Custodian maintains cleanliness and sanitation across bathrooms, break rooms, and production areas through a mix of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cleaning tasks — work that directly supports regulatory compliance and the health and safety of every employee on site.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the production facility, including bathrooms, break rooms, floors, walls, equipment, and production areas.
• Empty, fill, and clean floor sanitation mats each night.
• Remove trash and cardboard from common areas and production rooms as needed.
• Maintain the cleaning and janitorial supplies inventory, requesting reorders as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, pest control activities, and facility custodial services.
• Work closely with production staff to minimize disruption to production schedules during cleaning activities.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure cleaning and sanitation procedures comply with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a sanitation or janitorial role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to drive to multiple buildings on site.
• Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Understanding of cleaning procedures, proper use of cleaning chemicals, health and safety regulations, and waste disposal methods.
• Attention to detail, effective time management, proficiency with cleaning tools and equipment, and basic maintenance abilities.
• Physical stamina and strength, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong communication skills, and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
• Dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, prioritizing tasks, and managing time effectively.

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

This position does not require the use of a computer outside of training courses.

Physical Exertion:

Standing and Walking:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking to cover large areas of the facility, including bathrooms, break rooms, and production floors.

Lifting and Carrying:

Frequent lifting and carrying of cleaning supplies, equipment, and trash bags, with weights potentially up to 50 pounds.

Bending and Stooping:

Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling to clean low areas and to reach into tight spaces.

Repetitive Movements:

Performing repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and wiping surfaces.

Climbing:

Occasional climbing on ladders or step stools to clean high areas, such as windows, vents, and light fixtures.

Pushing and Pulling:

Pushing and pulling cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and carts loaded with supplies.

Manual Dexterity:

Using hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and controls for detailed cleaning tasks.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside Work:

With exposure to temperature changes (e.g., unheated or uncooled warehouse).

Mental Requirements:

Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize and complete various cleaning tasks within set schedules. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Travel:

This position does not require travel. Schedule-Mon- Friday 6am-230p or Monday - Friday 9-530pm
