In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene throughout the facility, ensuring all areas are spotless, sanitized, and well-organized. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, play areas, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination Conduct routine sanitation of toys, furniture, and surfaces to ensure compliance with health standards and prevent the spread of germs Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices Maintain cleaning schedules and logs accurately to ensure consistent facility upkeep and compliance with health regulations Support general facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or childcare settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and chemical sprayers is advantageous Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe environment Experience with industrial cleaning or residential painting can be beneficial but is not required Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence and facilities maintenance practices ensures a secure workspace for all occupants Join us in creating a safe haven where children can learn and grow!
