Position Overview Columbus Facility Cleaning is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Service Specialist to service a Lowe's location in Defiance, Ohio . This position requires 2.5 hours of cleaning every day, 7 days per week . The position may offer flexibility with how the 2.5 hours are scheduled. Depending on the facility's needs, a split shift may be available , allowing the daily cleaning time to be divided into two service periods. Applicants must be able to consistently commit to the assigned schedule and complete all required cleaning duties each day. This is a recurring position and requires reliable attendance 7 days per week. Responsibilities Perform professional commercial cleaning and janitorial services throughout the assigned Lowe's facility. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, countertops, mirrors, and floors. Restock restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Sweep, dust mop, mop, and vacuum assigned floor areas. Operate a floor scrubber or other commercial floor-cleaning equipment when required. Clean entryways, doors, glass surfaces, and other high-visibility areas. Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste. Clean and maintain break rooms and employee areas as assigned. Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces. Maintain clean and presentable customer and employee areas. Follow the facility's cleaning checklist and company procedures. Safely handle cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment. Inspect completed areas before leaving to ensure assigned tasks have been completed. Report maintenance issues, leaks, spills, damage, safety hazards, or other concerns to management. Use the company mobile application for GPS-verified clock-ins, clock-outs, and shift reporting. Qualifications & RequirementsReliability & Attendance Must be available 7 days per week . Must be able to consistently complete 2.5 hours of cleaning every day . Must be dependable and punctual. Must be willing to commit to the position for the long term. Must understand that this is a 7-day-per-week recurring assignment , not occasional or temporary work. Must communicate promptly with management if an emergency affects your ability to work. No-call/no-show behavior is not acceptable. Frequent absences, repeated lateness, or abandoning the assignment will not meet our expectations. Cleaning Experience Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience is preferred. Experience with commercial floor cleaning equipment is a plus. Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures. Ability to clean restrooms, floors, entryways, glass surfaces, break rooms, and common areas. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas requiring additional cleaning. Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and janitorial equipment. Work Requirements Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to complete assigned duties efficiently within the 2.5-hour daily service window . Must be comfortable with either a regular shift or split-shift arrangement , depending on the assigned schedule. Reliable transportation to and from the Lowe's location. Must own a smartphone and be comfortable using mobile applications for timekeeping and reporting. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift cleaning supplies or equipment as required. Compensation & Schedule $17.00 per hour 2.5 hours per day × 7 days per week The position provides approximately 17.5 hours per week , with monthly earnings capped at approximately $1,287.50 based on a 4.33-week month. Split-shift scheduling may be available depending on the facility's operational needs.
