A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Nemco Food Equipment is committed to keeping a clean and tidy workplace. In this job, you will perform janitorial duties and help implement and sustain visual factory standards. Due to the inherent nature of the position, employee must complete Bloodborne Pathogen Training as needed, and be willing to perform any tasks related to decontamination following OSHA protocol. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Basic housekeeping duties (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, moping, wiping, disinfecting, floor scrubber, etc.) Collection and disposal of trash, recyclables and other items, as needed Painting equipment, walls, floors and outdoor ground striping Monthly cleaning of Nemco House Performing basic TPM's such as filter, light bulb and coolant changes Outside Grounds work (Lawn Care, Snow Removal, grounds cleanup, etc.) Be Agile and fill in for other assembly or manufacturing personnel on occasion.
