Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian/Public Area Cleaner to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of public areas within our hotel, ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. Your proactive approach will help uphold our high standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of public spaces including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques. Handle chemical agents safely, following hotel protocols for chemical handling and sanitation. Vacuum carpets, sweep floors, mop surfaces, and conduct floor care to maintain a pristine environment. Use janitorial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to ensure efficient cleaning operations. Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times. Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while adhering to safety standards. Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning setting is preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills. Good customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality industry standards is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. NOTE:

This is a first shift position. Starting at 9:30 am until finished for the day. Usually a 4 to 5 hour per day/5 days a week position. Some weekend work may be required. Flexible scheduling.

Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
