We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Custodian to join our school maintenance team. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping facilities clean, safe, organized, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This position is primarily responsible for routine cleaning and upkeep of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas throughout the school. The position also includes various general maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed. Responsibilities  Clean and maintain classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas  Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors  Empty and remove trash and recycling  Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures  Clean and sanitize high-use areas  Maintain cleanliness and appearance of school facilities  Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed  Perform occasional setup, moving, and other general facility-related tasks  Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns  Complete assigned cleaning duties thoroughly and efficiently  Perform other cleaning and miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications  Reliable and dependable with good attendance  Strong attention to detail  Hard-working and takes pride in their work  Able to work independently with minimal supervision  Able to follow cleaning procedures and prioritize assigned tasks  Previous custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required  Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift  Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds  Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform routine physical activities associated with cleaning Work Environment This is a school environment where cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail are extremely important. The majority of the position does not involve heavy lifting, but occasional lifting or moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
