Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities 1.Perform daily cleaning of assigned areas, including shop offices, restrooms, break areas, and production floor, following established cleaning schedules and protocols. Sanitizing and cleaning all areas. Understanding that periodic deep cleaning projects will be assigned. 2. Maintain cleanliness of floors by keeping them free of oils, trash and debris. 3. Collect all scrap metals throughout the shop and properly dispose, working with the scrap yard attendants. 4. Collect all garbage/waste/trash throughout the shop and properly dispose. 5.Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. 6. Monitor and stock cleaning supplies, notify shop leadership team when new supplies are needed. 7. Could be asked to assist with setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and special events, ensuring that all spaces are prepared for use. 8. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies, demonstrating a proactive approach to facility maintenance. 9. Perform basic shop repairs and maintenance, as needed. 10. Work with Shop Lead and Supervisor, informing them of any safety concerns or hazards throughout the shop. 11. Adhere to all safety rules. 12. Follow directions from Shop Leadership Team, Managers, and Business Owners. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred, but not required, experience in industrial cleaning and light maintenance. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Preferred, but not required, 1+ years of experience in a custodial role in a heavy industrial environment. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision, with a can-do attitude, communication skills and decision-making skills. Ability to determine what is trash and what is scrap. Ability to see what needs to be done next and taking the initiative to work on it. Self-starter and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always be helpful to others. Willingness to understand you will get dirty Painting, deep cleaning and care detailing Must be able to wake up and come to work every day. Great attendance is required for this role. Work Environment and Physical Demands While performing duties of this job, you may be required to stand, sit, reach, climb, stoop, talk and hear. Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to tolerate working in a NON-climate-controlled environment. Must be able to stand on concrete flooring for 8+ hours per day. Must understand that overtime will be required on a weekly basis, working an average of 45 hours per week.
