This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning environments, such as commercial, residential, and industrial settings, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and worship spaces. Execute floor care tasks such as sweeping and mopping to maintain a polished appearance. Reports facility issues to Lead Sexton such as but not limited to electrical, plumbing, large or small appliance problems. Work with Lead Sexton on building projects. Facilitates routine maintenance including but not limited to ordering janitorial supplies. weekly, restocking pantry once/week, attend to fountain weekly, de-lime dishwasher weekly; check vacuum cleaner bags weekly and replace as needed. Conduct janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to promote a healthy environment. Perform daily set-up and break-down duties in preparation for meetings, classes, and events. Make and set-up water, coffee, and tea, as needed for meetings and events. Assist with refilling food and drinks, as needed, for meetings, meals, and events. Assist with basic maintenance tasks and facilities upkeep to ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Regularly attends all staff meetings and meetings called by direct supervisor. Ability to work on Sundays non-negotiable. Qualifications High School Diploma. A minimum of two years experience in a related field preferred. Ability to work alone without supervision required. Excellent human relations and communication skills to deal with staff and congregants. Extremely strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Microsoft Office:

Outlook. Valid Driver's License and minimum liability insurance on personal vehicle as required by law. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and extra time on an as-needed basis. Working knowledge of Unitarian Universalism and a commitment to the mission and vision of All Souls Unitarian Church. The ability to lift tables and chairs is essential. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
