THE POSITION

This is a part-time commercial janitorial position primarily working evenings and nights after our clients' businesses have closed. Weekend availability is especially helpful, and scheduling can be flexible depending on the accounts assigned to you. You will generally be working independently, so we are looking for someone we can trust to arrive when scheduled, complete their work thoroughly, communicate with us when needed, and take ownership of their assigned accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment. Use custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently to complete tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitation. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or safety hazards observed during cleaning rounds. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests or concerns from staff or visitors regarding cleanliness or facility needs. Following account-specific cleaning checklists Maintaining a consistently clean and professional environment for our clients Keeping track of and caring for your cleaning equipment and supplies Transporting cleaning supplies to and from assigned locations Communicating supply needs, building concerns or other issues to management

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IS

Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, their safe handling, and proper disposal procedures. Experience operating cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, or carpet cleaners is advantageous. Knowledge of safety protocols related to facilities maintenance and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating effective communication skills and professionalism in interactions with staff and visitors. Extremely reliable and dependable Comfortable working alone without direct supervision Able to follow instructions and account-specific cleaning procedures Detail-oriented and able to recognize when something needs additional attention Trustworthy and respectful while working inside clients' businesses after hours Punctual and able to consistently maintain an assigned schedule A strong communicator Comfortable communicating by phone/text regarding scheduling, supplies or client locations Able to manage their time efficiently Willing to take responsibility for their assigned accounts

TRANSPORTATION & SUPPLIES

Reliable transportation is required. Because you will be traveling independently to assigned commercial accounts, you must have a dependable vehicle and be able to transport, carry and safely store the cleaning supplies and equipment needed for your accounts. You must also be physically able to perform normal janitorial duties, including carrying supplies, bending, reaching, vacuuming, mopping and being on your feet throughout your shift. Why GeoClean?
