A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

- Hours for Custodian 1 positions are 2:30-11:00 p.m. M-F. Summer schedules may vary.
- Salary posted is for the previous school year, salaries for the 26-27 school year are dependent upon bargaining.
- Please note that pay for all RSD regular positions is annualized to include summer months.
