Mix and compound specialized products to meet exact specifications with a focus on custom color matching. Translate physical samples and visual references into precise, repeatable formulations. Perform quality control testing including viscosity, cure thickness, and surface performance. Maintain clean, organized workspaces, tool sets, and pigment inventory. Key Responsibilities Mix and compound products using a wide range of pigments to achieve custom colors, finishes, and visual consistency. Translate visual inspiration and physical samples into accurate formulations, adjusting parameters as needed. Perform quality control evaluations on compounded products, evaluating viscosity, cure thickness, and surface cure performance. Adjust viscosity and formulation parameters based on QC feedback to ensure product performance standards. Learn to manufacture and identify multiple product types, including hot/cold-process products, thixotropic, clear, and pigmented materials. Precisely follow product formularies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational manuals. Maintain assigned workspaces, ensuring precise base weighing, accurate pigment labeling, and equipment cleanliness. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to document production data and communicate with team members. Qualifications & Requirements Strong eye for color with a solid understanding of color theory. Experience in a manufacturing, compounding, or production environment is strongly preferred. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions from technical formularies and SOPs. Computer proficiency, including experience with network systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive production schedules.
