What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the interior (walls, floors, ceilings, windows, furniture, equipment) of our buildings, which include cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, handwashing, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Heavy cleaning and sanitizing of all comfort stations / shower areas.
- Trash removal from all areas of the facilities.
- Cleaning the exterior of our buildings, pavilions, walkways, and grounds.
- In the winter time, clearing snow and ice from walkways, steps, deck areas, etc.
- To be successful in this position you will:
- Be able to do some pushing, lifting, walking, and bending.
- Be able to operate small light cleaning tools and cleaning equipment.
- Have a high level of honesty and integrity. This position requires you to work independently with little supervision. -Be able to complete tasks with speed and accuracy. Cleaning schedules need to be followed and completed on time.
- Have a positive attitude and be a team player, assisting the team to achieve the departmental goals to get to the finish line on time.
