An employee in this class performs a variety of tasks in connection with cleaning functions. Work involves the use of custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture. Work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection during progress or upon completion for the attainment of established standards of cleanliness. The days and hours for this custodian position are Monday-Friday 37.5hr 07:00-15:00.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read and understand written materials Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively orally Ability to communicate effectively in writing Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships No previous experience or training required. Minimum of one year cleaning or manual labor experience Stable employment history—a minimum of one year with the same employer One year of work experience that includes cleaning in an institutional environment One year of work experience related to floor care including carpet cleaning, scrubbing/waxing, and stripping and waxing Internal
