What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and break rooms
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, wet/dry mop floors
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas and high-traffic areas
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
Skills:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
