A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in one commercial location. This is an evening position approximately 20-25 hours per week in the evening 5 days a week. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic space for all occupants.

! Responsibilities Vacuuming carpets and mopping hard floors. Sweeping entrances, hallways, and common areas. Dusting desks, shelves, windowsills, and other surfaces. Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Emptying trash and recycling bins and replacing liners. Cleaning break rooms and kitchens, including wiping counters, tables, sinks, and appliances. Sanitizing high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, handrails, and elevator buttons. Cleaning glass doors, windows, and mirrors. Restocking restroom and kitchen supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). Spot-cleaning walls, doors, and furniture as needed. Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors. Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to company procedures. Locking doors, turning off lights (when required), and ensuring the building is secure before leaving. Following health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Completing assigned cleaning tasks within scheduled timeframes. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus. Experience with industrial cleaning techniques will be beneficial for this role. A proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards is essential.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
