Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks such as floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore floors to their best condition. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers efficiently and safely. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Manage custodial responsibilities like waste disposal, restocking supplies, and ensuring restrooms are hygienic and well-maintained. Use chemical agents responsibly by following safety guidelines for handling floor care chemicals and other cleaning agents. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their facilities. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial best practices. Skilled in floor care techniques including scrubbing, waxing, buffing, polishing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing. Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a focus on environmental services standards. Strong understanding of chemical agent handling procedures for various cleaning tasks to ensure safety for yourself and others. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently. Customer service oriented mindset with clear communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
