Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas are sanitized and free from debris.
- Carry out floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or necessary repairs to management.
- Maintain cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings, adapting techniques as required.
- Perform porter duties including moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored, adhering to safety regulations. Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong skills in floor care methods including buffing and waxing.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.
