Job Description

Job Summary The Tank Crew Worker is responsible for performing industrial tank cleaning, high-pressure water blasting, and related maintenance activities at industrial, petrochemical, refinery, chemical, and manufacturing facilities. This position safely cleans storage tanks, vessels, pits, and process equipment using high-pressure water blasting equipment while adhering to all company safety policies, confined space requirements, and environmental regulations. The Tank Crew Worker works as part of a team to prepare equipment for maintenance, inspection, and repair. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform industrial tank cleaning and high-pressure water blasting (hydroblasting) operations. Clean storage tanks, process vessels, pits, sumps, and other industrial equipment. Operate pressure washing equipment, vacuum trucks, hoses, pumps, and cleaning tools. Remove sludge, scale, debris, chemicals, and hazardous or non-hazardous waste from tanks and vessels. Assist with confined space entry operations while following all confined space procedures. Set up, inspect, and maintain hoses, pumps, nozzles, and pressure washing equipment. Wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required. Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures. Assist with equipment inspections and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Perform housekeeping duties to maintain clean and organized work areas. Assist other crew members with industrial cleaning and maintenance projects. Complete required documentation and safety reports accurately. Work overtime, weekends, and travel to customer sites as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous industrial cleaning, hydroblasting, tank cleaning, or pressure washing experience preferred. Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical plants, or industrial facilities is a plus. Ability to safely operate high-pressure water blasting equipment. Knowledge of confined space entry procedures preferred. Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods. Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights. Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, noisy, and physically demanding environments. Must be able to wear respirators, chemical protective clothing, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other required PPE. Work Environment Industrial, refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, and manufacturing facilities. Exposure to dust, chemicals, noise, heat, cold, steam, water, and outdoor weather conditions. Work may require confined space entry, elevated work areas, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and travel to customer locations.
