A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Non-Exempt Summary Keeps premises of buildings in clean and orderly condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Clean all plant areas including, but not limited to, the shop floor, the warehouse floor, docks, washrooms, offices, break rooms, meeting areas, cafeteria, Cell Cleaning and locker rooms. Restock washrooms, break rooms and cafeterias. Clean spills and remove garbage. Industrial truck driving, including but not limited to, sweeper scrubbers, tote vehicles, burden carriers and forklifts. Special cleaning projects as required by the customer or assigned by the Company.
