Located on the south end of Myrtle Beach, SC, our hospital operates 24/7 including holidays and weekends, ensuring pets receive urgent medical attention whenever needed. Our team is composed of pet parents committed to the human-animal bond, utilizing a state-of-the-art facility designed for efficient and specialized animal care. Summary We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to join our team at the Animal Emergency Hospital of the Strand. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, clients, and staff. As a Cleaning Assistant, you will contribute directly to our mission of providing top-quality emergency veterinary services. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of all hospital areas, including examination rooms, treatment areas, surgical suites, and wards.
Kennel and cage cleaning:
Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and litter boxes to ensure a sanitary environment for hospitalized animals.Laundry:
Managing all hospital laundry, including washing, drying, and folding Ensure all surfaces are disinfected according to hospital protocols to prevent infections. Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as waiting rooms and staff lounges.Restroom maintenance:
Keeping restrooms clean and well-stocked with supplies.Outdoor upkeep:
Assisting with outdoor maintenance like picking up waste and cleaning entry areas. Dispose of waste materials safely and in compliance with health regulations. Restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Follow safety procedures to handle cleaning chemicals responsibly. Assist with setup and breakdown for special hospital events or procedures. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. Qualifications Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial services preferred. Knowledge of sanitation standards in healthcare or veterinary environments is a plus. Ability to work independently with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and reliability. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Good communication skills. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks effectively. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
