Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. This role is essential in ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and longevity of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our property. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, appliance repair, and mechanical systems maintenance. They will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to uphold high standards of operational efficiency. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various appliances including kitchen appliances and HVAC units. Conduct repairs on mechanical systems such as air conditioning units, ventilation fans, pumps, and related equipment. Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site service calls or equipment transport as needed. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals to facilitate accurate repairs. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance. Collaborate with team members to coordinate construction projects or upgrades involving mechanical or electrical systems. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients or facility users regarding maintenance issues and resolutions. Lead small teams during maintenance projects when necessary, demonstrating leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex equipment. Prior experience with HVAC system repair including air conditioning units and ventilation systems. Knowledge of appliance installation procedures across various types of commercial or industrial appliances. Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices within construction or facility management environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on diverse equipment. Experience operating company vehicles safely in compliance with transportation policies. Leadership experience preferred; capable of guiding junior technicians during maintenance tasks. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities.
