Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol guidelines. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, or troubleshooting custodial issues as needed. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others while managing industrial cleaning supplies and equipment. Qualifications Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment. Experience with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or residential painting is a plus.
