Duties Operate professional cleaning equipment including carpet extractors, floor buffers, waxers, and scrubbers to thoroughly clean and restore carpets and floors. Handle and apply various floor cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, ensuring proper dilution and usage according to manufacturer instructions. Perform manual tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment and furniture, floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to achieve optimal results. Conduct detailed cleaning procedures on different surfaces, including carpet deep cleaning, floor buffing, polishing, and floor refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to proper chemical agent handling protocols and environmental services best practices. Interact professionally with clients to understand their needs, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure satisfaction with the cleaning results. Complete detailed documentation of work performed, including logs of cleaning activities and any maintenance or safety issues encountered. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning, floor buffing, waxing, and refinishing. Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while following all safety guidelines. Experience with chemical agents used in floor cleaning chemicals and environmental services is advantageous. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards client interactions.
