JANITOR Job Description Position Summary The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in a federal facility while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. This role requires flexibility, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Some basic janitorial reporting like, cleaning inspections, inventory, and others Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing Clean windows and mirrors, and supply restrooms Remove waste and empty trash cans Maintain cleaning cart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies Organize janitorial storages areas Notify Supervisors about unsafe or concerning conditions that need repairs or maintenance Vacuuming carpets and mats, sweeping/moping floor, and tile cleaning Qualifications Previous experience in janitorial services Familiarity with janitorial tools and equipment Deadline and detail-oriented Must be able to pass background check (Position is in Federal Facility) Applicants must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, and weekends. Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
