Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of all areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle custodial tasks efficiently, including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and surface cleaning to uphold high standards of hygiene. Operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively, adhering to chemical handling safety procedures and proper maintenance protocols. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards; report issues promptly for resolution. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall facility upkeep. Ensure safe manual handling practices during heavy lifting or moving of supplies and equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by addressing staff or visitor inquiries courteously and promptly while maintaining a positive environment. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning standards. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and chemical agents used in sanitation processes. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents to prevent hazards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices; physically capable of manual handling tasks required for the role. Experience in facilities maintenance or general custodial duties is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, safety protocol adherence, and sanitation standards.
