A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Paycom is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderly condition of the building and facilities. They collaborate as part of a team to create a comfortable and positive work environment, contributing to the workplace experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assumes responsibility for cleaning facilities as directed. Cleans facility floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. Gathers and empties trash containers. Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures. Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees, using both step and extension ladders. Dusts furniture, walls, cubicles, machines and equipment. May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Cleans and services restrooms. Assumes responsibility for assisting with waste disposal and room preparation in Café/Cafeteria. May clean plates and put dishes into washing machine. May add ice to soft drink dispenser. Regular attendance as required Performs other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School graduate or GED preferred
Experience:
1 year of custodial or related experience
Skills/Abilities:
Cooperative and willing to work with others Employee-friendly attitude Ability to follow directions Must be able to work independently
