What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Porter is responsible for handling daily maintenance and policing of our client located in Grapevine, TX. The Porter will assist Building Management with all requests and projects assigned. These are PT positions. Monday-Friday 6pm-10pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Service all public and operating space throughout the building. Keep elevator cars clean and neat. Preserve lobby and first impression areas. Maintain restroom cleanliness. Check and restock all restroom products. Police building grounds. Police the dock. Police stairwells daily, dust mop stairwells weekly and damp mop stairs. landings & treads monthly. Respond to special requests throughout the day.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Strong communication skills. Must be willing to work assigned hours.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels. Work in close proximity to others. Standing and/or walking, sitting, stooping, or kneeling.
