Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to join our team on the third shift. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our facilities during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a sanitary environment that promotes health and productivity for all staff and visitors. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitation to uphold hygiene standards. Operate floor buffers and other floor care equipment to maintain polished, safe flooring surfaces. Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and heavy lifting to prevent accidents or injuries. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall facility upkeep. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, safety checks, and equipment usage to ensure compliance with safety procedures. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper handling of chemical agents. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards consistently. Good communication skills for following instructions and reporting issues effectively. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay:
$14.00 - $14.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week Application Question(s): Shifts Monday to Friday 10 pm to 2 am Saturday and Sunday 10 pm to 2 am
