Trystar's team members are our most important asset, and we are seeking a Custodian based at our Houston, TX office. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager. In this role you will get to:

All Areas:

Ensure the bathrooms are clean: empty trash bins, disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other supplies. Wipe down break room tables, chairs, countertops, and appliances. In the office areas, wipe down all flat surfaces (desks and tables) and high-touch point locations (doors, handles, light switches) Sweep, mop, and vacuum main areas Empty garbage and recycling bins in the office, break room, and bathrooms. Restock napkins, utensils, coffee machines, coffee supplies, and other food supplies as needed. Maintain hallways, entryways, computer areas, and locker rooms by keeping them clean and disinfected. Ensure all common areas are tidy. Spot-clean any reported spills or messes. Restock supplies for the next shift. Notify the manager of any broken fixtures, labels, supplies, leaks, or supply shortages. Other duties as assigned.

Office Areas:

Dust and wipe desks, furniture, fixtures, and office equipment Clean conference rooms, reception areas, and shared workspaces Clean windows, glass doors, and partitions Disinfect high-touch point locations such as doorknobs, light switches, and appliances

Manufacturing Areas:

Sweep and scrub production floors, aisles, and walkways Maintain cleanliness of emergency exits and safe walkways Use appropriate methods for cleaning oils and other residue

Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1

year of experience cleaning and/or working in a manufacturing environment. Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis Must be able to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED. Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test Must adhere to all PPE requirements to perform the job safely; this includes, but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Foot, and Hearing protection. Ability to work in a team environment while collaborating, troubleshooting, and problem-solving with coworkers.
