Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and longevity. Follow safety procedures consistently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities or handling hazardous materials. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence at all times. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
