In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas of our facility are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. Your efforts will create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial experience who take pride in their work and enjoy maintaining clean, safe spaces. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and carpets in pristine condition. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocols. Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces to ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, or painting as needed to support facility upkeep. Follow safe lifting practices when moving heavy objects or cleaning equipment to prevent injury and ensure workplace safety. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety inspections to support ongoing facilities management. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Familiarity with cleaning techniques and the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices. Customer service skills that promote a positive environment for staff and visitors through professional conduct and responsiveness.
