Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves both commercial and industrial cleaning tasks, requiring a proactive approach to facilities maintenance. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Assist with custodial duties in commercial settings as needed. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment. Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing cleaning tasks. Collaborate with other staff members to support overall facility maintenance efforts. Experience Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties, including lifting and moving equipment as necessary. A strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards is essential.
