Major Responsibilities & Duties:
Maintain good public relations and represent the district professionally. Make quick, sound decisions in the best interest of the school. Perform routine custodial tasks daily. Follow all safety, security, and custodial procedures. Comply with district policies and procedures. Maintain good attendance, safety, and driving records. Operate and maintain custodial mechanical equipment. Ensure buildings are clean and ready daily for school operations. Assemble furniture, install light bulbs, sharpeners, dispensers, and perform basic mechanical tasks. Unstop commodes/urinals without power tools. Adapt to flexible schedules, work any site or shift as needed. Perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the day. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
Workrelated custodial equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, scrubbers, extractors, buffers, and basic mechanical tools.
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Standing tolerance up to 7 hours. Walking endurance up to 0.25 miles. Kneeling tolerance up to 10 minutes. Manual dexterity & fine motor skills. Repetitive forward & overhead reaching. Forward bending, stooping. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to withstand moderate chemical fumes and odors.
Work Environment:
90% indoors, 10% outdoors. Indoor environment is climatecontrolled with seasonal fluctuations. Low noise levels. Moderate vibration when operating floor machines.
