Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Your proactive approach and dedication will contribute significantly to the comfort and safety of staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an energetic work environment where your efforts directly impact the overall facility appearance and hygiene. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility. Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, following all safety protocols and handling procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools efficiently to maintain floors and surfaces. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. Follow strict safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repair needs or hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
