Full-Time Make a Difference Every Day At Uvalde Memorial Hospital, every team member plays a vital role in creating a safe and healing environment. As an EVS Team Lead , you will guide and support Environmental Services staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming hospital for patients, staff, and visitors. Your leadership is essential to infection prevention, team performance, and the overall patient experience.

In This Role, You Will:

Supervise and coordinate daily work activities of EVS staff to ensure all areas of the hospital are clean and well-maintained. Assign duties, monitor performance, and inspect completed work for quality and compliance. Lead by example by working alongside the team and assisting in all EVS roles as needed. Conduct staff huddles and safety meetings to promote communication and accountability. Support onboarding and training of new employees to ensure proper procedures are followed. Perform patient and facility rounding to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met. Monitor and maintain supply levels, ordering as needed to support operations. Ensure infection control practices, performance indicators, and cleaning protocols are followed. Respond to staff and patient requests promptly and professionally. Communicate daily updates, concerns, and accomplishments to the EVS Manager.

What We're Looking For:

A dependable leader with a high school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written (additional languages a plus). Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Ability to stay organized, multitask, and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer knowledge required.
