Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing custodial tasks, floor care, and general maintenance duties across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Qualifications Foster a high-quality relationship with all staff, volunteers, & re-occurring vendors/visitors. Self-motivated individual with excellent customer service skills & a high capacity in multi-tasking. Ability to take initiative in prioritizing assigned work & projects. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision needed. Physical stamina to handle various cleaning tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Perform floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as needed. Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas including entrances and walkways. Handle waste disposal and recycling duties. Able to lift and organize tables/chairs for various events and services. Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Report any repairs or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored. Collaborate with other staff members to support overall facility operations. Experience Previous experience in custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required. Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus. Skills in buffing floors and performing industrial cleaning tasks are highly desirable. A strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness is essential.
