Operate floor care machinery such as buffers, vacuums, and extractors to ensure spotless floors. Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and other cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines for safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Support infection control procedures by following hospital-specific sanitation protocols diligently. Qualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or commercial settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use. Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet extraction. Strong understanding of sanitation practices essential for hospital environments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, lift heavy supplies, and stand for extended periods.
