Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning surfaces, ensuring proper storage and disposal in accordance with safety protocols. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and restrooms regularly to prevent the spread of germs. Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers, scrubbers, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure optimal floor care. Follow safety procedures diligently during all custodial activities, including chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel. Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely with understanding of chemical handling safety procedures. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, polishing, and maintenance using floor buffers. Strong adherence to safety protocols and safety protocol adherence in all tasks performed. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
