Immediately Job Description Staunton City Schools Part-Time Custodian Staunton City Schools is now recruiting for Part-Time Custodians to join its team.
Hourly Rate:
$16.40/hour + DOE/DOQ. Monday/Wednesday/Friday- 15-24 hours/week. Custodial cleaning of Operations Center and Maintenance shop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS
The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks: Sweeps, mops, waxes, dusts, vacuums and other general cleaning in assigned area. Scrubs and disinfect toilet doors daily and cleans drinking fountains, urinals, toilet bowls and other fixtures daily using such materials as will keep them in a clean and sanitary condition. Washes all windows, when needed. Reports immediately any damage to school property giving, whenever possible, the names of persons responsible. Remains on the premises during school hours. Order and maintain supplies required for workers to complete their responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and/or Principal.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Candidate must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to get along well with others.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Has high school or general education diploma (GED). Ability to read basic operating instructions. Has some custodial cleaning experience or the ability to be trained in these areas. Hold a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
