The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable. Handle commercial cleaning duties in various facilities, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. Assist with custodial tasks in both residential and industrial settings as needed. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues to management. Support facilities maintenance by performing minor repairs or reporting larger maintenance needs. Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized regularly throughout the day. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Requirements Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with floor care techniques including walk behind scrub machine is a plus. Experience in commercial cleaning environments is advantageous. Basic knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the facility.
