Job Description TATCO Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Housekeeper / Janitorial Services employee to support our operations at multiple assigned locations in Central Virginia. Specific work locations will be disclosed upon contact with selected applicants. This is a hands-on janitorial position responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and welcoming public-use facilities and surrounding areas. Primary responsibilities include cleaning and stocking restroom facilities, emptying trash, picking up litter and debris, maintaining assigned areas, and performing periodic deep-cleaning services. This position requires a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision while completing assigned services according to TATCO Services and contract quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include: Clean, sanitize, and maintain public restroom and toilet facilities. Clean and stock restroom facilities with designated paper products and supplies. Empty trash receptacles and remove garbage and refuse from assigned areas. Collect and properly dispose of trash and debris. Pick up litter and debris throughout assigned parking areas and surrounding service areas. Sweep, wipe, sanitize, and clean designated surfaces and facilities as required. Perform periodic and annual deep-cleaning activities to restore facilities to established cleanliness standards. Replenish restroom and janitorial supplies as assigned. Safely use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, tools, equipment, and required personal protective equipment (PPE). Transport cleaning supplies, equipment, and other materials between assigned work locations as needed. Inspect assigned areas while performing services and report damaged, broken, vandalized, or malfunctioning facilities and equipment. Report safety hazards, unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, supply needs, or service issues to the supervisor. Maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies in a clean, orderly, and responsible manner. Complete assigned cleaning services thoroughly and within established operational requirements. Interact professionally and respectfully with members of the public, client representatives, coworkers, and supervisors. Follow TATCO Services safety procedures, company policies, and client/site-specific requirements. Perform other related housekeeping, janitorial, and facility-support duties as assigned. Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants must: Be dependable and maintain regular and reliable attendance. Be comfortable cleaning and sanitizing public restroom and toilet facilities. Be willing and able to handle, collect, and dispose of trash and refuse. Be able to work independently with limited direct supervision. Be able to follow assigned work schedules, written procedures, safety requirements, and supervisor instructions. Be able to safely use janitorial chemicals, cleaning equipment, tools, and required PPE. Be willing and able to perform routine cleaning and periodic deep-cleaning duties. Be able to travel between multiple assigned work locations as required. Be willing to work in public-use facilities and surrounding outdoor areas. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing TATCO Services. Comply with company safety, substance-abuse, workplace-conduct, and other applicable policies. Meet any client-access or other screening requirements applicable to the position.

Willingness to perform hands-on janitorial work, including restroom cleaning, trash removal, litter pickup, and deep cleaning. Must successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law and client requirements. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required: At least one (1) year of janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, or commercial cleaning experience. Previous experience cleaning public restrooms or high-traffic facilities. Previous experience with trash collection, litter removal, or outdoor facility maintenance. Experience performing detailed or deep-cleaning services. Experience working independently with limited supervision. Experience servicing multiple locations or completing an assigned service route. Familiarity with commercial cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, janitorial equipment, and proper chemical-handling procedures. Experience working at parks, recreation areas, hospitality properties, public facilities, or other public-facing environments. Experience performing physically active work in indoor and outdoor environments. Demonstrated history of reliable attendance and completing assigned work with limited supervision. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and supply issues before they become larger problems.

Health & Welfare:

$5.09 per hour TATCO Services offers eligible employees: Paid Time Off (PTO): Two weeks of paid time off per year after 12 months of employment.

Paid Sick Leave:

Eligible full-time employees receive 56 hours of paid sick leave per calendar year immediately upon hire . 401(k)

Retirement Plan:

Eligible employees may participate after attaining age 18 and completing three months of service . The plan offers traditional pre-tax and Roth employee contribution options, subject to plan terms.
