Mountain Village School is an early childhood education program located in the village of Stowe. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Afternoon/Evening Cleaner to join our team. This vital role ensures our facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming for children, families, and staff. If you enjoy maintaining high standards of cleanliness and take pride in creating a healthy environment, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our community's well-being. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, common areas, and bathrooms. Garbage and recycling taken out daily. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently and safely. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting. Organizing of cleaning supplies and materials. Maintain cleanliness standards by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure readiness for daily activities. Skills Familiarity with cleaning equipment. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and chemical handling safety procedures. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high cleanliness standards Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance needs Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus Join us in creating a safe, clean space where children can thrive!
