A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Overview Janitorial Helper Clerks Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the store, including sweeping and mopping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining eating areas and taking out the trash. They do deep cleaning projects as needed and provide excellent, professional customer service. They may fill in in the Grocery department if assigned. Everyone at PCC is expected to: Collaborate Demonstrate Kindness Focus on the customer Instill trust Value diversity Main Job Responsibilities Maintains cleanliness and order throughout the store General cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping the sales floor, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining the eating areas, taking out the trash, and cleaning the meat department Responsible for cleaning the refrigerated cases and other deep cleaning projects as needed Pressure washing shopping carts, baskets and outdoor areas Other cleaning duties as needed Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met Stocks and faces grocery items when needed Operates all equipment in accordance with PCC standards Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met Qualifications and Skills Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends Demonstrated organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills Must be able to meet physical demands of the job including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits and Perks Additional $1.50/hour Night Differential when applicable.
