A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Cleans exam rooms and operatories, bathrooms, laboratories, offices, halls, clinic lobby and any other areas by performing the following duties. Salary begins at $17.71 + per hour depending on experience. Essential Job Functions Essential Functions of the
Job:
[Other duties may be assigned.] Washes and sanitizes exam tables and chairs. Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies. Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floor. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Makes sure all assigned areas are clean, neat and tidy Replenishes tissues, towels, and soaps in rest rooms, kitchens, and meeting rooms. Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets. Transports trash and recycling to appropriate disposal areas.
