JOB SUMMARY
This is a dual position and includes both Project Floor Work and General Cleaner job duties. Project Floor Workers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining flooring by scrubbing, shining, cleaning carpeted/non-carpeted areas using appropriate equipment, as well as, cleaning products. General Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their designated buildings/areas by performing various cleaning duties. This job includes moving large furniture and objects in such a manner that safety guidelines are followed to prevent injury to themselves and others. This position could require on-call availability via company cell phones which will be specified by the District Manager, General Manager, or Vice President.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • PROJECT FLOOR WORKER'S DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Buff, strip, and wax floors using industrial buffers and scrubbers.
  • Extract and shampoo carpets using industrial extractors and shampooers.
  • Special clean-up as required by customers (i.e. after remodeling, construction, or building damage).
  • Transport, maintain, and keep equipment clean. Contacting Manager for repairs.
  • In sensitive areas of a customer's plant environment, you may be required to wear protective equipment, such as: gloves, gown, hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, and etc.
  • Flood clean-up.
  • Working within the budget allotted is also necessary.
GENERAL CLEANER'S PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
  • Dust surfaces including desktops, cabinet tops, partitions, picture frames, etc.
  • Empty wastebaskets and recyclables; transport to designated disposal areas.
  • Sweep with broom, damp/wet mop hard surfaced floors, vacuum floors using upright vacuum and/ or vac paks. Other work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.
  • Spot clean carpets.
  • Clean glass areas.
  • Clean and Disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors floors, etc.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies.
  • Polish metal work such as fixtures and fittings throughout.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITES
  • Establish and maintain courteous, cooperative relations when interacting with other personnel and customers.
  • Setting alarms.
  • Keeping track of keys issued.
  • Delivering supplies.
  • Ability to use a compactor.
  • Other tasks may be assigned based on customer or management discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS/ WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Project Floor Worker experience preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver's License .
  • Must be able to travel from customer to customer if needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to stand or walk during entire shift to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in constantly changing environment.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull 25lbs.
