A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

This position provides full-time hours while school is in session and during summer cleaning. Employees are not scheduled to work during school closures, holidays, and other scheduled breaks, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who values a consistent schedule with planned time off. Because of the seasonal school calendar, this position is not benefits eligible.

Location :

Minocqua, WI Schedule :

Monday through Friday Summer hours : 9am-5pm

Sept-May:

3pm-11:30pm with school closures off Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, polishing and trash removal to ensure a spotless school environment Help to maintain floors through buffing, stripping, and waxing (training provided) Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and common areas following established protocols Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as window cleaning and surface disinfecting to promote health and safety Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company standards and safety guidelines Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution Skills Cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices a plus but not required if you're willing to learn Willingness to learn buffing, stripping, waxing- performed during summer Ability to learn and operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Strong attention to detail Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Good communication skills and a positive attitude and reliable attendance Join us in creating clean, safe spaces that make a difference! $18.00 per hour
