A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Qualifications Our Ideal Candidate:
Flexibility Record of compliance with safety procedures at all times Must be able to operate cleaning equipment Basic reading and writing abilities Ability to allocate and prioritize time Capability to lift and maneuver objects weighing 50 pounds or more Ability to properly handle cleaning chemicals Ability to work indoors and outdoors under temperature variations Aptitude to follow safety standards as set forth by the district. Ability to make routine decisions regarding daily schedule The position will involve standing and walking for up to 8 hours; bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
