Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a vibrant and efficient kitchen environment. In this role, you will support food preparation, ensure cleanliness standards are met, and assist with meal service to deliver delicious, safe, and high-quality dishes. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive dining experience for all guests and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry. Duties Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety standards Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to uphold hygiene standards Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours Follow food safety management protocols including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods Experience Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food preparation and customer interaction Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering operations is a plus Skilled in using kitchen tools such as knives with proper slicing techniques and safety awareness Understanding of food safety standards in production environments and food handling practices Culinary experience or training that includes cooking techniques, meal preparation, and operating commercial kitchen equipment Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members in fast-paced settings
